Catherine Hindman Reischl is a Clinical Professor Emerita in the U-M School of Education. She taught in the areas of elementary literacy instruction in multilingual contexts, English as a second language instruction, and classroom management. Her research interests focused on the intersection of language, culture, and schooling in teacher education contexts. Cathy taught in K-12 schools and universities in Thailand, India, New Zealand, and the United States. She earned an MA from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a PhD from Michigan State University.
